An Appeal

You may feel proud to remember that our institution has completed 93 years of its existence. Our institution is one of the prestigious institutions of this area and we are proud of being its alumni. For more than 9 decades, the institution founded by Seth Pujya Shri Mahadeo ji Somany and dedicated to Chirawa has had the distinction of producing a large number of meritorious students and good citizens of our country. During the long journey, it has scattered the rays of knowledge and education, given a way to lead successful life, helped to achieve the mission of the life to hundred thousand of citizens. We might have remembered the contribution of the institution in our life.

For a long time it has been felt that the Alumni of the institutions should keep in touch with each other’s activities to promote alumni kinship. We are sure, many of us who have made a mark in diverse areas such as Administration, Business, Industry, Defence, Science etc. would learn a great deal from each other and enjoy an occasional get-together, and to strengthen the spirit of belonging to our prestigious and oldest institution and with many more objectives in mind it has been proposed during UGC NAAC Peer Team visit to form an alumni association. Accordingly, we have inaugurated our Alumni Association and about 148 prestigious ex-students are associated with us. 

This letter, therefore, is in the form of an appeal to bring together our alumni under a common umbrella to strengthen further. We hope you would extend your co-operation to our efforts.

Needless to add, that no association can function without some financial support. It is, therefore, proposed to collect Rs. 1100/- as membership fee for this association. You may send your advertisement or wishes for the next directory of Alumni Association. The charges of advertisement in the directory are as follows:

Full Page-11,000/-, Half Page-6,000/-, One fourth Page-3,000/-, Membership fee, -1,100/-

The regular feature of the association will be

  • to organize an annual get-together
  • to publish a directory of the members periodically, with updated particulars and details and
  • to undertake some projects in the interest of the institution and the students.

The journey has not yet finished but started with a dream; the dream can be converted into reality only with your active involvement and participation. Please come forward and do your duty towards your mother institution and contribute significantly to our Live Ancestor, which is dedicated to Chirawa.

Therefore, you are very cordially requested to send the following at the earliest :-

  1. Bio-data with recent photograph
  2. Your achievements and the story of success in life.
  3. Your memorable event in the institution.
  4. Any proposals, if you want to distribute scholarships/books/financial assistance to the needy students in loving memory of your near and dears.
  5. Any job placement opportunities/offers if you have.
  6. The names, address and phone numbers of your class mates/college mates/school mates, who wish to join and celebrate the memories of the glorious past with a responsibility towards the younger generation and the institution.
  7. A demand draft/cheque in favour of "Alumni Association, Chirawa College, Chirawa" or in cash for membership fee, etc.
  8. A copy of the advertisement of your firm with an amount (as applicable) to be printed in the directory.

Your valuable suggestions in expanding the domain of our activities shall be highly appreciated.
